Modern Workplace Brewer, MVP & MCT

Hello all,

Since June 2024, I can call myself a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in Microsoft Intune. This is not just any title you can get. After 2 previous nominations in the past 3 years, I have now been awarded it. This prestigious recognition is a testament not only to my technical skills and knowledge, but also to my commitment to the community and my passion for technology.

What is a Microsoft MVP?
For those who may not be familiar, the Microsoft MVP Award is presented to exceptional, independent community leaders who share their remarkable passion, working knowledge and technical expertise with others. Microsoft MVPs are recognized for their contributions to the technical community, including speaking at events, writing blogs and articles, creating educational content and providing support in forums and communities.

My journey to MVP
Since the days of NT 4.0 and Windows 95, this also tells something about my age 😁, I have always been fascinated by technology that Microsoft brought to market.
After starting at a help desk, through workplace administration through to system administration, I came across SCCM. Nowadays called ConfigMgr. I found SSCM to be such a powerful software, that I delved further into it and did more and more workplace projects using SSCM.

But over time, the cloud came around the corner and over time, I started looking into doing Microsoft Intune anyway. Starting in 2019, I was doing more and more with Microsoft Intune with different customers.

By 2020, I had written an MD-100 exam book and was doing training to become a Microsoft Certified Trainer. The latter was mainly to be able to transfer my knowledge to other people using training. These days I do quite a bit of MD-102 training, which has both ConfigMgr and Intune as areas of learning.

From 2022, I started the WorkplaceDudes. Started with a bi-weekly show with Engin and Richard and meanwhile we are almost done with season 3 and have hosted 3 meetups and 2 summits. Of course I will continue with this. Because that is also my passion!

From writing blog posts to speaking at events and meetups, my goal has always been to share knowledge and help others. The feedback and interactions with fellow tech enthusiasts, have fueled my motivation to keep contributing.

The tech landscape is constantly evolving and staying up-to-date is both a challenge and a thrill. My journey to becoming an MVP involved constant learning and adapting to new technologies. This journey is a continuous cycle of learning, applying and sharing knowledge.

The MVP award opens doors to a global network of like-minded professionals and experts. Collaborating and exchanging ideas with fellow MVPs will undoubtedly be an enriching experience, offering new perspectives and insights that will enhance my contributions to the community.

Looking ahead
While receiving the MVP award is a celebratory moment, it also marks the beginning of a new chapter. My commitment to the engineering community remains unwavering, and I am excited about the opportunities and challenges ahead. I look forward to using this recognition to continue my contributions, mentor aspiring technologists and continue to foster a spirit of collaboration and learning.

Conclusion
Becoming a Microsoft MVP is more than just a personal achievement; It is a testament to the power of community, the importance of sharing knowledge and the impact we can have when we work together. I am very grateful for this honor and look forward to continuing this journey with even more enthusiasm and dedication. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way - this award is as much yours as it is mine.

Here's to many more years of learning, sharing and making a difference in the tech world!

That is it for now. Until next time. 👋
